ツイッターに「現メンバーでの歌い直しベストを出してほしい」
というコメントが凄く多いので、それを現実にした第一弾。
まずは℃-uteからという感じです。
なんだかんだすでにインディーズ結成から早7年5か月。
そんな彼女達の今の実力で初期時代の曲を聞いてみたいという
心理もよくわかります。
それでも、こちらとしても当時は当時でベストな作品を作ってきているわけです。
例えば子役のおぼつかない演技や声が世にハマって、それが人気になって、
少しして芝居が上手くなったからといって昔のシーンをそのまま撮り直しても
最初の作品にはそのまんまだと勝てないという現実があります。
なので、今回も歌を録り直すにあたってはアレンジに新たな思考を加えたり、
ギターを加えたり、トラックダウンをやり直したり・・・
そうやって、また今の彼女達のベストを引き出そうというわけです。
今回のベスト盤では、最近℃-uteを知った皆さんには、
「おお！手に入れたかった曲が沢山入ってる！」って事になるだろうし、
ファン歴長いみなさんにも「おお！ここまで成長したか！」という
両面から聞いてもらえると思います。

セリフを萩原が担当。その甲斐あってか、とても新鮮です。
イントロも変更しました。
On Twitter I've gotten lots of comments saying "We want y'all to release a best-of album of songs sung by the current members". That was the first step to making this project a reality.
"Let's start with C-ute first."
Time has flown by and it's already been 7 years and 5 months since their indie debut. I definitely understand the fans' mindset of wanting to listen to them cover their early work all these years later now that they've got their present-day level of ability.
Even so, the best work is the original work because it's released at the original time.
Take for example a child actor whose unpolished acting and shaky enunciation takes the world by storm. Even if they go back and reshoot an old scene after their acting skills have improved after becoming popular, the reality is that those new skills lack the charm of the first performance.
And so for this album as well, when it came time to re-record their songs, I reimagined and altered a few things in the arrangements, added a bit of guitar here and there, redid the trackdown, etc., etc....in this way, we want to once again bring out the best in these girls.
For this best-of album, I'm sure those of you who have only recently come to know C-ute will think "Whoa! A lot of songs I wanted to add to my collection are included on this!" I hope that even those of you who have been fans for a long time go "Whoa! They've grown so much!", so I hope to hear from both kinds of fans.
