悲しそうなのに、なぜかホカホカあたたかい。
そんな楽曲が誕生しました。
安倍なつみが歌うということで、
どんな曲にするかと色々研究しましたが、
やっぱ、安倍ももう立派な大人だし、
大人として、色気ある歌を歌ってもらいたかったので、
楽曲もミディアムですが、少し透明感のあるメロディ。
そして、ミディアムで激しいリズムではないのに、
しっかりとしたビート。
そんなことを意識して詰めていきました。
歌詞の世界観も大人。
恋愛をする中では自分が主役になりたいもの。
そういった女性の持つエゴイストな部分と、
日本人女性の憧れ、「奥ゆかしさ」
そんな二人が共存する、そんな世界です。
安倍の歌が入って、どうなるかすごく楽しみな曲でした。
もう１０年前になるかもしれないけど、
「Memory 青春の光」をレコーディングしたあの頃のような、
「どうなるんや～！？」という、興味が沸々と湧いてきて、
プロデューサーとして興奮してくるあの感じです。
数回（数日に分けてという意味）歌ＲＥＣにチャレンジしてもらいましたが、
回を重ねる毎に色気と説得力が出てくるので、
ベストをチョイスに良い意味で、贅沢に悩まさせてくれました。
トラックダウンも過去の安倍の作品に比べても
ずっと大人な感覚に聞こえるような音色でまとめ、
今までに無い落ち着いたビートに仕上がっています。
ビデオも落ち着いた色気と本来安倍が持っている人懐っこい感じと
二色見れるので、とってもＧＯＯＤです。
It seems sad and yet, it's steaming hot for some reason. That type of song was what was born.
Since it's Abe Natsumi singing it, I did a lot of research on what sort of song I should make it, but after all, even Abe is already a splendid adult, so as an adult, I wanted to have her sing a sexy song. The tune has a medium rhythm, but it's a melody that has a slightly transparent feel. And even though the rhythm is medium so it's not intense, it has a solid beat. I made sure to be conscious of that.
The world view within the lyrics is also that of an adult.
Someone who wants to be the main character themselves within their romantic relationship. The "egoist" side that that sort of woman possesses, and the "refined modesty" that Japanese women long for. It's a world in which those two coexist side by side.
I was really looking forward to seeing how this song turned out when Abe's singing was added on top.
It might have been more than 10 years ago, but I got that feeling of being excited as a producer that I did back then when recording Memory ~Seishun no Hikari~, interest bubbling up like, "What's going to happen?!"
I had her try recording the song several times (as in, got takes on several different days), and with each respective take, the sensuality and convincingness came out, so in a good way, I had the luxury of having a problem in picking which take was the best one.
The trackdown was also solidified by a tone that sounded much more mature than Abe's past works, and that resulted in a level of calm and cool beat that her music has never had up until now.
The video also has a calm, cool sensuality as well as the feeling of amiable friendliness Abe herself originally possesses, so since you can see the two colors, it's quite good.
