Japanese Lyrics

Show Time

Translation

I'm giddy at Oizumi Station
My heart's pounding at the thought of daikon fields
Am I lagging behind the times? Will I be left behind and vanish?
Is that alright? To be this kind of me?

Whenever, wherever, if you believe, it'll come true
Dreams are dangling right before your eyes
Even when hurting or lonely or alone
They're there, you're there—on the outskirts of Nerima, morning is coming

(Mic check, 1,2, uh uh uh uh) Hey, aren't I kind of amazing? Cooler than the rock bands around?
M-A-N-O, I grabbed this mike
Even if I'm an idol, I'm rap to the core, love
Represent, from Nerima to the world, grownups and a future that'll change this country
S.Z.R. in the house, please check it out, this raw and unpolished Show Time

In my car, I meander through the Kan-Etsu Highway
There's a crocodile in Shakuji pond
Are you going to live all boring and proper till the end?
What kind of life is that?

Don't hang your head, don't look back, in life all things come to an end
The present is better than yesterday or tomorrow (right?)
Even when hurting or lonely or alone
They're there, you're there—on the outskirts of Nerima, let us sleep already

Morning is coming

Notes[]

  • This song has various references to Nerima, including Oizumi Station, Nerima's signature crop the daikon, the Kan-Etsu Expressway, and the pond found in Shakujii Park (which doesn't have crocodiles, contrary to local urban legend).
  • The "Hatake-saan!" call in the first stanza may be a shout-out to SharamQ's Hatake, who wrote several songs for Mano Erina.
