そう言えば、ここのところの後藤のシングル曲は僕の作曲ではなかったので
（偶然というか、良い曲にいっぱい出会っちゃったから）
今回の新曲作曲時は、「お！そう言えば、こんなパターンも、あ！あんなパターンも」
なんていっぱいいろんなイメージが浮かんで悩んじゃったりするのかな！？と、
去年の後藤のステージやテレビでのパフォーマンスを思っていましたが、
なんと！なんと！一球入魂の曲が出来上がりました。
歌詞も曲もテーマは「女の子のやる気！！」です。
特に歌詞でいいますと、
「１８歳くらいから東京や大阪や名古屋などに通ってなのか、一人暮らししてなのか、寮に入ってなのか、
わかんないけど、精神的に独立し始めた女の子。
要するに、俺達が東京に上京してきたころと同じようにいろんな夢を抱いてがんばっていこう！
って思っている女の子たちも実は・・・。
日々のバイトに追われたり。。 夢とは関係ない就職だったり・・・。とか。
でも、そんな女の子も気がつけば、毎日楽しいランチの弁当で悩んだりする時間と、
次の休み変わってくれる人を探し続けたりする毎日と、いったところでしょうか・・・。
でも、後藤はこの曲で、
「元、夢を抱いていてた女子ぃ～！！『今に見ててよ根性！』で行こうよ！なんか忘れてない！？」
ってね、そう、歌うんです。今回。
曲とバックトラックのコンセプトは
「気分が高揚するためにあるような曲だ！」です。
とにかく、イントロが始まった瞬間からテンションが自然にハッピーになるイメージですね。
それと同時に、昨年、コンサートやドラマなど、いろんな仕事にチャレンジし、
２０歳になったことも折り重なってか、びっくりするほどの歌声の安定感。
これが何よりなのです。
歌が強力な説得力を持っているので、RECしてても本当に安心感があるのです。
それは、現在ではステージングに現れています。
今回の新曲はある種、彼女の生涯の意気込みをあらわす「IN MY LIFE」なのかも。
