Rules
- The Hello! Project Lyrics Wiki is solely for current and former Hello! Project acts, as well as related UP-FRONT GROUP and YU-M Entertainment acts such as the Up Up Girls family of groups, Kikkawa Yuu, Joujou Gundan, and others. Current projects of graduated Hello! Project members, whether with UP-FRONT GROUP or not can also be included, such as Tamura Meimi's solo career.
- Before creating a discography or lyrics page on the Hello! Project Lyrics Wiki, you may need to make sure the artist or the release that the song is from is listed in some way on the Hello! Project Wiki, UP-FRONT GROUP Wiki, or NICE GIRL Project! Wiki so that users can navigate there for more information if needed.
Posting Lyrics from Outside Sources
- Romaji Lyrics, Color-Coding, or Translations from outside sources may only be posted with the explicit consent of the person who originally did them. In the case that the person declines to have their translation put on the wiki, or is unreachable, you can instead post a link to the translation.
- By default, romaji lyrics, color-coding, or translations from Is It Necessary, Café Kica, dora's translations, and maxi's lyrics archive are free to be posted on the wiki with credit, as they are done by the wiki's admins.
- The following sites and social media users have also given permission for their romaji lyrics, color-coding, or translations to be posted on the wiki with credit:

- Ogata Haruna (real) via Twitter. (To be credited with a link to Ogata Haruna's fanclub)
- Failure to ask for consent from an outside source not listed here will result in a warning message left on your message wall.
Compliance Rules with Project Hello
- Any unchanged color-codes or other lyrics from Project Hello are not allowed to be posted. In respect of their terms of use, songs that have complete and correct lyrics on Project Hello will just take the form of links to their Project Hello page on this wiki.
- Corrections to color-coding may be posted, but with credit given to both the corrector and Project Hello. (See Koko ni Iruzee! for an example)
- Corrections to romaji lyrics may only be posted if there are a significant amount of mistakes to warrant a correction.
- In the case of corrections of the translation on Project Hello, it is better to re-translate the whole song.
- Before correcting lyrics from Project Hello, please check one of the approved sources listed above to see if they have the correct lyrics instead.
- These correction rules also apply to the other approved sources listed above.
- Failure to comply with these rules will result in a warning message left on your message wall.
Crediting Rules
- All romaji lyrics, color-coding, or translations must be properly credited. Credit should be posted for romaji lyrics, color-coding, or translations in the space for it at the bottom of the lyrics table on each lyrics page.
- Lyrics from outside sources should be credited with a link to the original source, it may also be helpful to use references if applicable.
- Lyrics that you have done yourself should be credited with a link to your user profile.
- Failure to properly credit will result in a warning message left on your message wall.
Uploading Files
- For videos, linking to videos from YouTube is encouraged, but only videos that have been legally uploaded either by UP-FRONT GROUP or another official source. This can easily be done with a list of links and using the player. Alternatively, official music videos may be uploaded directly to the wiki.
- For images, only official cover jackets should be uploaded to this wiki. These can be found on the Hello! Project Wiki or other related sites.
- In general, there is to be no illegal or pirated content on this wiki.
Romanization Guidelines
- Romaji lyrics should primarily use the Hepburn romanization system, specifically traditional Hepburn. The one difference is that a long O sound (おお) should be romanized as "oo" rather than ō with a macron.
- Katakana should be romanized in all caps.
- Japanese names should be written in Japanese order, with the surname first. Names should also align with their official spelling, for example Dambara Ruru rather than Danbara Ruru, Fukuda Marine instead of Fukuda Marin, and Ise Layla rather than Ise Reira.
- Titles of songs or releases should be romanized according to its page on the Hello! Project Wiki or other related sites.

Discography Pages
- It's always helpful to keep discography pages up-to-date. Add tables for new releases when they come out, and when you finish a fan translation or a color-code, be sure to edit the discography page do reflect that as well.
- To make a new discography page, first create a new page, then input {{subst:DiscogPage}} to input the Discography Page template, save the page, and then start editing again.
- The source code will have notes written <!--like this--> explaining how to fill in the template to complete the page.
