It is also a track on their album 14shou ~The message~ and the Limited Edition B version of Best! Morning Musume 20th Anniversary. It was also available on the special CD One・Two・Three to Zero.

- 正々堂々と, which appears in the seventh and sixteenth stanza, can be translated "proud and confident" in the pomp-and-circumstance sense of the term (as written in the official UFP subs) , but the phrase is most often used for doing things "fairly", the right way. So you’d use the term for a clean fight, or good sportsmanship, someone who plays fair and square. Given the tone the other lines of the chorus take, I translated it as the latter.

「笑顔の君は太陽さ」
この曲は、現モーニング娘。のメンバーへのメッセージです。
でも、新しい時代を生きて行く、生き抜いて行かなければならない
「青春」に送る僕からのメッセージでもあるわけであり、
かつ、僕も自分自身に喝を入れるつもりで書き上げました。
45歳になる僕もまだまだ未完成。
まだまだ歯を食いしばって生き抜いて行かなければなりません。
そして「笑顔」を大切にしていかなければならないんだという気持ちで書き上げました。
メンバー達にもサビの部分での満面の笑みが本物になるように、
歌詞を何度も読んで、歌うその瞬間、
最高の笑顔が届けられるようなイメージ作りを心がけてもらいます。
ダンスもすごく難しくは見えないかもしれませんが、
この曲はシャッフルリズムというかハネているので、
それを表現するのはすごく難しいです。
なので、サビのダンスはそのハネ感を出すためにシンプルにしました。
歌いながらのこのハネた感じを楽しんでくださいね！
ミュージックビデオでは雲に乗って空を駆け巡るような、
そんなでっかいスケールを演出しました。
"The Smiling You is a Sun"
This song is a message for the current members of Morning Musume.
However, it's also a message on my part to the "youth" who are living in a new era and who must survive.
At the same time, I wrote it as a pep talk for my own self.
At the age of 45, I'm still lacking, still incomplete.
I still have to grit my teeth, bear it, and just survive.
And so, I wrote this song with the feeling of "you must treasure your ‘smile'.
In order for the members to genuinely wear big smiles at the chorus part, I asked them to read the lyrics over and over and, at the moment they were singing it, to try and create an image as if delivering the ultimate smile.
The dance might also not seem very difficult, but this song is broken up unevenly in what's called a "shuffle rhythm", so expressing that is very difficult.
And so, in order to bring out that bouncing shuffle feel, I made the chorus part of the dance simple.
Please enjoy this bouncing, shuffle feel while singing!
The music video was produced on a grand scale, as if riding the clouds and rushing through the sky.
