- This song is part of the same storyline as Megane no Otoko no Ko, sometimes referred to by Western fans as the Meganeverse. It tells the story of what happened during the time when the glasses boy was not taking the train.

作詞・作曲を担当いたしました。
この曲は2018年10月のハロフェスにて初披露された、「眼鏡の男の子」のスピンオフ作品です。
「眼鏡の男の子」設定を活かしつつ、次なる曲はどうしようかと考えた末に出たアイデアが文化祭ネタでした。
最初から文化祭実行委員長の恋を描いてはいましたが、第一稿は模擬店で焼きそばを作ったり女装コンテストに出たり後夜祭で花火見たりと要素が沢山ありました。
それを女装コンテスト一本に絞り、眼鏡の男の子が女装コンテストに出場して優勝するという我ながらよく分からない設定に落ち着きました。
「眼鏡の男の子」の寸劇テイストを継承し、冒頭は女装コンテストの司会者の声でスタートしたり。
Aメロの「ねぇちょっと男子！」「なぁに？」みたいにコール＆レスポンス出来るセクションを作ったり。
間奏明けの結果発表の場面では、ドラムロールになる構成にしたり。
この曲でも「普通じゃない！」様々な仕掛けを施すことに命をかけながら作っていきました。
そしてこの曲でもさらに普通じゃない演出を入れてきたのがご存知、野沢トオルさんです。
女装コンテストの着替えをステージ上で手持ちのカーテンに隠れながらおこなうという演出。
こういうTVショーや舞台は観たことある気がしますが、こういう音楽は今まで観たことがありませんでした(笑)
僕も僕で結構普通じゃないことを考えているつもりですが、世の中には必ず上には上がいらっしゃるものですね。。。
まだまだ修行の足りない未熟者です。
このような一人では到底考えつかないようなアイデアの化学反応がBEYOOOOONDS曲の醍醐味だったりするのかなと思います。
キャッチボールしているうちに予想もしないあらぬ方向へと飛んでいって、それすらも楽しんでしまうというか。
そういう意味じゃ即興的だし実験的だし尖っているし、魅力的なグループだと思います。
そもそもこんな作家の無理難題をしっかりと形にしてくれるBEYOOOOONDSが一番すごいんです！
音楽的なことを言うと、イメージは70年代後期のアイドル歌謡といったところでしょうか。
ロックな仕上がりですが、曲調的には懐かしい感じがするのではないでしょうか。
最後に「眼鏡の男の子」とこの曲の時系列を整理すると、毎朝電車で見かけていた眼鏡の男の子の姿がなくなったのが文化祭準備期間のあたりでしょうか。
眼鏡を外した男の子と彼女が手を繋いで別の車両で発見されるのが数ヶ月経ってから位？
ということで「眼鏡の男の子」の純粋な続編ではなく、ストーリーの間に挿入された別のストーリーという感じなんですね。

First performed at the HalloFes in October 2018, this song is a spinoff of "Megane no Otoko no Ko".
After wondering for a while what the best way to make use of "Megane no Otoko no Ko"'s setting for a sequel, the idea I finally came up with was a school festival story.
